Coming right on the heels of a fascinating discussion with Dr. Stephen Kent, a professor who amassed one of North America's largest collections on alternative religions and cults, Erica Lukes welcomes Steve Erickson for a special Thursday edition of Expanding Frontiers. The "Gunslinger for Peace," as the Salt Lake City resident has described himself, fought weapons research and development at Dugway Proving Ground and won.
His lifelong activism spans from opposing the Vietnam War during his time as a student at Columbia University to founding the Citizens Education Project and protesting nuclear weapons and waste in Utah. The Steven G. Erickson Archive, documenting his many activist efforts, from advocating for "Downwinders" to lobbying for affordable housing, is maintained at the University of Utah.
The show airs live Thursday, Sep. 12, 3:30pm Eastern. Join us live in chat or view what promises to be yet another fascinating discussion in its entirety afterward at the EFR YouTube channel.
