Writer: Jack BrewerJack Brewer
Jan Harzan

Jan Harzan was sentenced Friday to serve time in state prison stemming from his conviction on charges he solicited sexual activity online from a law enforcement officer he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. He was reportedly arrested when he arrived at a prearranged spot to meet the child.

According to a case summary obtained from Orange County Superior Court of California, Harzan was sentenced to two years State Prison for a felony count of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a lewd offense. He was also sentenced to 18 months in prison for the felony charge of meeting a minor to commit lewd conduct. It was not immediately clear if the sentences would run concurrently.

From the case summary:

Harzan is the former executive director of the Mutual UFO Network. He is a longtime staple of the organization, which removed him from his position after reports surfaced publicly of his arrest on the charges in 2020.

One wonders if he will watch UFO documentaries in his cell. The next whistle stop on this train ride less than two years away will be seeing which documentary producer, talk show or conference has him back like nothing ever happened.
